5 Runway Worthy Haute Couture Hotels
Remember the days when a star rating was how you chose your hotel? These days the stars aren't enough, not when there are five star hotels and then there are runway worthy hotels. We're talking about hotels that were graced by the design ingenuity of the world's top designers. Hotels that would hop on the runways of Paris, Milan and New York and cause a stir.
We rounded up 5 haute couture hotels that look so good, you'd better put on your best just to make reservations with them.
1. Uxua Casa in Bahia, Brazil is owned and designed by Diesel's creative director Wilbert Das and this property is just what you'd expect from the always envelope-pushing, punkified Diesel. The hotel is separated into different casas, each one designed differently but in Diesel perfection: chic, funky and fashion forward. The fact that the casa's doors open into Brazilian paradise doesn't hurt either.
2. Cheval Blanc in Courchevel, France is the design from the house of Louis Vuitton and includes photography by Karl Lagerfeld. This is haute aprés-ski at its most luxurious. (also seen above)
3. Hotel Missoni Edinburgh rocks the Missoni look in every nook and cranny. The retro fabulous dots, stripes and zig zags would make you dizzy if they weren't pulled off so perfectly in the way that only Missoni can. The good news is that they've got five more hotels in the works.
4. Hotel Armani Dubai fits into the ultra mod city of Dubai perfectly with its cutting edge fashion design compliments of Giorgio Armani. From the check-in desk, to the restaurant, the rooms and even the hallways, each element of this hotel is chic to the max. If Italy is more your thing, don't miss his newer addition to hotel design in Milan.
5. Palazzo Versace in Queensland, Australia screams Donatella Versace with bright fluorescent pinks and floral prints that almost approach the tipping point of over-the-top but reel it back to 100 percent pure Versace glam. Enter the lobby and you'll feel like you're stepping into a photo shoot spread for Vogue. But if you're still stuck on number four in Dubai, then hop on over to Palazzo Versace Dubai instead.
