Backstage and on the Runway at the Bill Tornade SS13 Show in Paris [Gallery]
Early Saturday morning Bill Tornade designers Bella Saakova and Francis Ronez presented their latest collection at Lycée Turgot in the Arts et Métiers area of Paris. Set against a backdrop of white clouds across a clear blue sky, the French label showcased 38 looks for its Spring and Summer 2013 collection for men. Gray, camel, white and black defined the color pallet of the cohesive collection. Crisp cuts, varied collars and casual white ball caps -- in combination with the color pallet and sparse prints - channeled a vision of vacations and relaxed weekends that the collection certainly seemed to elude to. The breezy feel to all of the pieces on display echoed that of the backdrop.
Bucking the typical trend, the show was more than on time. Earlier in the morning before the show, the backstage was abuzz with models getting madeover with hair and makeup, yet the atmosphere was very relaxed in contrast to other shows where the backstage tends to be a cacophony of shouts, blow dryers, camera shutters and more. Models lounged until it was time for a runway rehearsal and then to be dressed.
