Bazaart Simplifies Shopping on the iPad
Shopaholics may live for the thrill of online retail, but even the most enthused fashion fan can get overwhelmed by the web's endless options. Bazaart, a new venture out of Israel, is tackling the shopping woe with a new iPad app designed to streamline the online shopping experience.
Taking note of your favorite designers and trends, Bazaart curates a shopping catalog tailored to your taste, touting only the looks you're most likely to love. As you browse and shop the catalog's offerings, it evolves to include more of what's on your fashion radar.
Bazaart's initial foray into the iPad sphere includes a series of special edition demo catalogs inspired by fashion bloggers. The first of theses is a collaboration with StyleBomb author Jen Mendenhall. Through product shots and collages, shoppers can explore the New York-based blogger's personal style and purchase their favorite piece straight from their iPads. Similar projects with stylists, designers, editors and other fashion luminaries are on deck for the company.
The burgeoning business was recently selected for DreamIt NYC, a start up accelerator program that will host the Bazaart team this summer in Manhattan as they prep for their global launch. Keep your eye on the app store — with Bazaart's arivial, it's soon to be very stylish.
