Better Know A Blogger: Tessa-Jay Slight
Aussie fashionista Tessa-Jay Slight is the babe behind fashion blog Circa Now. The Melbourne model turned blogger shares with her flocks of followers design house updates, fashion week wrap ups, self portraits of favorites finds from her personal collections, hoards of her favorite fashion pics; all the while the lending inspiration to thousands of fashion hungry fans around the world.
We catch up with Tessa-Jay about her style, her favorite wardrobe items, and her top pick of local and international brands.
How did your blog come about?
Tessa-Jay Slight: I wanted somewhere to post my favorite photos (and there are many of them!). I am always looking for new ways to be creative, and the blog allows me to have it all in one place and let it live there permanently. It's actually really fun to look back on it to and see how it's evolved.
Tell us a bit about you and your style?
My style is quite laid back and I tend to dress for comfort too. I love the preppy look and always dress with color when I can!
How does Australian Fashion vary from the rest if the world?
It is much more relaxed. You tend not to see girls completely dressed up walking down the streets like you do in New York. We're stylish, but not over the top.
What are your favorite local and international brands?
I can't get enough of Isabel Marant, Stella McCartney, Acne, Scanlan & Theodore, Maurie and Eve, Bassike and Diesel.
Who is your favorite blogger?
The lovely Jess from Tuula / FELLT Blog.
What/who influences your style?
Kate Bosworth and Blake Lively! I am and will always be obsessed with floral, silk pants and pastel colours.

What have been some of the best opportunities to have come from your blog?
So many great opportunities have come out of it. Many lovely gifts and meeting people you normally wouldn’t get to meet. It's been really cool to work on something I love and reap all these great rewards at the same time.

My Denim Skirt
I am a huge fan of a denim skirt and probably have around 15 in my collection – I posted about this new Gingerbread Shop skirt that was recently added to my collection.
Tolani Paisley Dress
I have a huge obsession with paisley and particularly loved this find; an amazing Tolani silk mini dress that I love to team with my new Beau Coops ankle boots.
