Catherine Malandrino Invites Us Into Her Fashionable World
International fashion designer Catherine Malandrino blends an intriguing mix of Parisian chic and New York City edge into her clothing collections. With a background in couture working for design houses like Emanuel Ungaro, she moved to the U.S. in 1998 and started her own line, focusing on the duality of femininity and roughness in her design aesthetic.
Her clothes were an instant hit with the public and celebrities. Malandrino now operates 11 boutiques worldwide and counts women in Turkey, Russia and United Arab Emirates as part of her customer base. Speaking to Société Perrier from her Soho boutique, she lets us in on working with Madonna, connecting with her customer base through social media and feeling inspired by her recent trip to Brazil.
