Chanel To Sell Lagerfeld's Infamous Hula-Hoop Bag This Spring
Chanel is planning to sell Karl Lagerfeld's infamous hula-hoop bag, only in a smaller version. When Lagerfeld sent models down his Chanel Spring/Summer 2013 runway this past October, all eyes were on the oversized and over the top bag. Lagerfeld himself claimed the bag was intended for the beach. Some critics argued the bag was not only impractical, but had no future off the runway.
Chanel disagrees and a mini version of the bag is set for release this spring. At 24 centimeters in diameter, it is a more convenient accessory to carry.
