CloudSourcing: Mumdance
London DJ/producer Jack "Mumdance" Adams has been making a name for himself over the past few years, churning out a steady stream of quality productions and remixes for labels like Mad Decent, Trouble & Bass and Greco Roman. Currently working on an album project, Adams, who's also been known to offer up some kick-ass bootlegs, found a little time to release his Different Circles - Level Five podcast featuring two new tracks co-produced with Logos. We asked him to share his five favorite producers of the moment on SoundCloud.
1. Logos
I first heard this track by Logos about a year ago just randomly on SoundCloud and it made my ears prick up straight away. Logos has great taste in sounds. He understands that less is more and has got that minimal spaced out Eski Square wave thing down to a tee. His productions really struck a chord with me, so I decided to get in touch and this year we have put together a four-track EP which will be emerging in the first half of 2013.
2. Palace
Palace is an amazing new producer. His tracks have been taking up a lot of my set lists, both in the clubs and on my Different Circles podcast. His track "Armageddon" is one of my faves all year. Also I think he makes his music on a tracker, which definitely gives an individual vibe and feel to his stuff.
3. Visionist
Visionist is a really talented and unique producer that you should definitely check out. Literally everything that I've heard from him has been top-notch. He also owns a label called Lost Codes — their first release was an EP by this guy called SD Laika called Unknown Vectors that is massively good and well worth tracking down.
4. Offshore
Offshore is a super interesting producer with heaps of talent. I first heard a track by him earlier in the year called "Pacer" which I think is actually my tune of the year. When the chords come in it sounds like what you would hear if The Neptunes were in a computer game and rescued the princess or won the Mario Kart Cup. Amazing track. He's just about to drop his debut album on Big Dada so make sure you check that out.
5. Cosmic Revenge
Cosmic Revenge is another dude who has had a great year in my eyes. Teki Latex first put me on to him when he passed me a remix remix that he did of a Lucid track called "Based." I've been hammering that remix all year; it's a massive massive tune. Since then he has been sending me tracks and I've been into every single one. Go check out his music — you won't be disappointed.
