Cocktail Recipe: Perrier Dual Action
During my time working as a barman in the States, I noticed people were developing a tendency to drink better and more responsibly. In Miami, vodka with Perrier is widely consumed by the golden jet-set in search of “low sugar” drinks. The fun technique I suggest can be used as a visual display to satisfy the need for fashion statements so popular at the moment. The procedure is simple to set up and requires nothing more than three glasses, two straws, a bottle of Perrier and a touch of imagination.
Preparation:
In a 2oz shooter glass, pour 1 1/2oz of iced vodka and 1/2oz of blue Curaçao.
In an identical glass, pour 6cl of well-chilled Perrier.
Fill a beaker half full of crushed ice and stand the two shooter glasses inside placing them side by side. Fill the beaker completely with crushed ice so as to secure the two shooter glasses.
Place a straw in each shooter and tie them together with a long strip of lemon zest.
Drink the cocktail from both straws simultaneously to mix the flavors in the mouth.
Present alongside the bottle of Perrier and enjoy!
