Cocktail Recipe: The Mojipotter

The Mojipotter is an exclusive Laurent Gréco recipe created this year for the Mojito Lab Paris. Gréco was inspired by the Harry Potter film to create a drink that was sure to attract attention every time. The cocktail is intriguing and curiosity, and that's a good thing mixology is concerned. Below is Gréco's inspired take on the classic Mojito.

Preparation

Step 1:
Place the “bodum” carafe in the middle of a white tray. Place a lump of dry ice and an illuminated ice cube in the bottom of the bowl Hide them from view by covering with a large head of mint and half a slice of lime. Make sure to use an illuminated ice cube that only lights up when it comes into contact with liquid. In a shaker full of ice, mix 1 1/2 oz of rum, 3/4 oz of Mojito mint syrup, eight mint leaves and 1/2 oz of lime juice. Filter the ice and pour the mixture over the first “test tube” glass.

Step 2:
Stand the two glasses on the tray next to the “specimen” carafe. Place a long straw in the specimen carafe. Next fill the second “test tube” glass with 1/2 oz of blue Curaçao and 3 1/oz of well-chilled Perrier.

Step 3:
Create your own "magic potion" by simultaneously pouring the contents of the two test tubes into the carafe containing the dry ice and the illuminated ice cube for optimal smoky effect.
