Last night GrandLife's seasonal Paris fashion week party This is New York touched down once again in the City of Lights and took over the dim, swanky settings of Le Baron to celebrate the close of Men's Fashion Week. Bringing out New York City DJ Mike Nouveau to spin a full hit list to attendees, the party regularly brings the best of Big Apple to the Paris masses. Back in March, it was a slightly different shuffle with a number of top fashion bloggers playing host and DJs like Been Trill and Harley Viera-Newton.

The party got started just before midnight, kicking off with a hour-and-a-half long open bar on vodka drinks. It didn't take too long for the dance floor to fill up with songs by the Strokes, Gang of Four, The Clash, Talking Heads, The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac and the Drums playing through the club's speakers, plus a hyperactive remix of "All My Friends" by LCD Soundsystem and three Rapture tracks in the space of a hour.

Le Baron's setting quickly began to feel like one's own living room. It had the music you'd want to listen to alongside the friends you'd want to hang with. Soon partiers were walking and crawling over the red couches to socialize all the more with various groups positioned around the room. And curled in a corner during all this madness? Burlesque queen Dita Von Teese, who sat outstretched on a velvet couch, enjoying the scene in peace.
