Event Recap: 'Watch the Throne' Aftershow at Le Pompon [Gallery]
On the night of Watch the Throne's third and final performance in Paris, Le Pompon played host to an after show party hosted by Been Trill. The DJs at the party included Virgil Abloh, who acts as Kanye West's style advisor and the group is heavily affiliated with West's newly launched Donda company. Been Trill last lit up Paris during fashion week in March and again instantly had command of the crowd. Starting just after 1am, the party quickly got into a raucous swing, with attendees banging on the ceiling song after song in appreciation of the curated rap and hip-hop playlist. Tracks included current hits like a remix Rihanna's "Birthday Cake" and "Headlines" by Drake while harking to throwback '90s tracks by Juvenile, Lumidee and an endless stream of Neptunes produced songs. Ed Banger illustrator and video director So Me stood close to the booth right next to Pigalle crew members. Just after 3am, the lights downstairs came on signaling an end to the sweaty dance party.
