Hear Dragonette on Diane von Furstenberg Charity Album
Did you know that International Women's Day is right around the corner? Superdesigner Diane von Furstenberg did — and she's not exactly letting it pass unnoticed either. For the third annual DVF-sponsored Proud To Be A Woman campaign, a number of limited-edition items have been made available for purchase, with the proceeds going to benefit the Vital Voices organization's female empowerment initiatives. Naturally, a couple of the items are accessory-oriented (iPhone case, tote bag), but Furstenberg has also harnessed the power of music to aid the cause, with the Proud To Be A Woman Vol. 3 album.
This compilation album puts the spotlight on female voices, from Ingrid Michaelson to Lissie, and Dragonette has contributed a new track to the collection as well, entitled "The Right Woman." This cut finds the group teaming with Aussie production whiz Felix "Plastic Plates" Blowxsom, known for his work with such artists as Christina Aguilera, Empire of the Sun, and many more.
