Kitsuné Celebrates 10th Birthday With New Compilation
A new compilation album from Kitsuné is always news, but the latest one marks something very special for the fashion tastemakers/music curators. By now, the world has become accustomed to — and many have probably even become dependent upon -- the regular release of Kitsuné comps, which always feature an abundance of fresh tracks by cutting-edge acts from all corners of the dance-pop universe, from electro to nu-disco and beyond. But the company has reached an undeniable milestone that they're marking in the most natural way — that is to say, here comes Kitsuné's 10th birthday album.
Kitsuné main man Gildas Loaec puts the company's philosophy about their musical endeavors simply, saying, "We treat ourselves by releasing the music that we like...we believe it is working out pretty well." On October 15, that notion will be brought to bear with the release of Kitsuné Maison 14: The Pernod Absinthe Edition, which features the likes of Friends, Two Door Cinema Club, Is Tropical, Citizens!, and many more. But just in case you can't bear to wait that long, there's a Jerry Bouthier Kitsuné 14 minimix available now for free download to tide you over in the meantime. Now, who else do you know that gives everyone else a present on their own birthday?
