Melbourne's Most Decadent Nightspot Cellar Bar Soon To Be Unveilled
Melbourne is a city renowned for the most eclectic range of bars and restaurants in Australia, and gastro pub specialists The Melbourne Pub Group (Circa, Newmarket Hotel, Middle Park Hotel and Albert Park Hotel) will continue its legacy with an edgy new addition, Cellar Bar.
Located below current St. Kilda establishment The Newmarket Hotel, Cellar Bar may seem like a location you’d simply stumble across – but instead, is set to become a destination and hot spot for Melbourne’s bustling social scene.
With the edginess of a hidden speakeasy, Cellar Bar will offer chic clientele an exclusive Latin inspired cabaret cocktail bar — Melbourne’s answer to the Moulin Rouge — and a fine dining restaurant that will offer set four or eight course dinner menus, designed by celebrated chef Paul Wilson.
As a cabaret, cocktail lounge and fine dining restaurant under one roof, Cellar Bar is set to etch a mark on Melbourne’s nightspot scene; luring guests into the mysterious and ornate surrounds of the venue, allowing them anonymity to stay and play in the amusement of the cabaret.
Julian Gerner, of The Melbourne Pub Group, says “Cellar Bar is something new for us – and for Melbourne – it’s glamorous, it’s fancy, it’s a ‘May I take your fur coat, madam?’ experience.”
Promoter and producer Si Jay Gould along with visual artist and infamous burlesque performer Vesper White have been recruited as Cellar Bar’s ‘Performance Detectives,' seeking boutique burlesque acts fit for Melbourne’s discerning diners.
Offering a true VIP experience, guests can valet park on arrival, pre book booths in the plush cocktail lounge that will boast an extensive cocktail list, as well as the most vast tequila list in town, and head from the debauchery of the cabaret to the dining decadence of the restaurant.
If delicious decadence sounds like an ideal night out for you, then head to the Cellar Bar opening in late October.
