Monaco International Clubbing Show: The Glamorous End of Clubbing
Glitzy nightlife extravaganza the Monaco International Clubbing Show (MICS) will return once again in November, bringing the party to the global jet-setting crowds of beautiful Monaco.
Now in its third year, MICS is a big showcase for the nightlife industry, with a huge expo during the day, held at the glass palace-like Grimaldi Forum, before a series of clubnights kick off, hosted at some of Monte Carlo’s numerous high-end, über-classy clubs and bars, with the headline acts playing at the sleek and chic LIFE Club.
For the 2012 edition, MICS headliners will be rapper and singer of N.E.R.D fame Pharrell Williams, French house producer Martin Solveig, MICS regular and acclaimed producer/remixer Bob Sinclair, and young Dutch electro-house producer Hardwell, with more DJs to be announced in the run-up to the event.
There’s also a music/nightlife industry conference programme for those wanting a little knowledge and networking with their clubbing, and fashionistas — of which there are more than a few in Monaco — will be well served by the participation of the Monte Carlo Fashion Fair, which will use MICS to present ‘cocktail and cruise collections’ in a series of shows.
As ever in Monaco, the rich and beautiful will no doubt be out in force at MICS 2012, so expect the sound of champagne corks popping to be a secondary soundtrack, and the sight of incredibly lavish yachts to be lasered into your eyes by the time you leave. It doesn’t get much more glamorous.
MICS 2012 runs from November 7-10.
