Nightlife Sizzles in Santiago

Chilean Nightlife

When it comes to nightlife in South America most people picture Rio and Buenos Aires — but they're doing themselves a disservice by overlooking Chile's capital city of Santiago. This vibrant city on the west end of South America is a bit under the radar but certainly worth checking out. Here's where to begin your Chilean journey in the sizzling city of Santiago. And remember, here dining starts around 10 pm which means bars and clubs get going around midnight or one (and close at 5 am by law).

Bar Constitucion and its partner Salon Constitucion are the perfect post dinner places to plot your night. Great beats, great cocktails and a beautiful atmosphere (this place has won awards recently for its interior design). Depending on the night the music may be R&B/hip-hop, electro or current hits.

Las Urracas
Don't let the fact that you can get a great Chilean meal here fool you - this is still a killer nightlife locale. The good news is they've got the food to keep you fueled for your all night party. Reservations are recommended if you do want to eat.

Sala Murano
When you're ready to dance this is where you head. With several locations in Chile, this club means business and had the DJ line up and lights to prove it.

Club La Feria
Perhaps the best of the best in Santiago — this former theater turned club is a must on your night's to-do list. Santiago's best DJs spin here as well as global touring stars. With red orb-like lights hanging at all angles from the ceiling — the mood here is muy sexy and so are the people (club seen at right).

Club Etniko
This place can always be counted on for your latest fave electro hits and plenty of beautiful Chileans. Like Las Urracas it is also a restaurant and could easily be your one-stop shop.

Club de Jazz
When you're ready for something a little more relaxed, the Club de Jazz (going strong since 1943) is the place to be for beautiful live jazz, an enchanting atmosphere and a chance to mingle with the locals.
