Ornament: Apple 3D Party
This 3D decoration is made with a bright red Starking apple. It is quite tricky and requires manual dexterity, because you have to cut triangular pieces from a quarter apple, starting with the largest and ending with the smallest.
Technique
Take a quarter red apple. Using the point of the knife, cut out a 3D triangular shape without removing the extremities.

When you have cut out all the triangles, arrange them in staggered fashion on a cocktail stick, working from the smallest to the largest.
Push the cocktail stick into a green-apple ball set on the rim of the glass.
Equipment
To work on an apple, opt for a trimming knife with a razor-sharp 20-cm rigid blade. You will also need a 22-mm “Parisian apple scoop” to make the support for the decoration. Remember to present the glass the right way round. There is a “back” and a “front” to any decoration, and the customer must see it from the right angle.
