Hotel Icon in Hong Kong has upped the ante on its style by commissioning fashion designer Vivienne Tam to design a suite that reflects her personal style — and of course her impeccable taste. With Tam being a graduate of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, which owns Hotel Icon, the pairing was one that made perfect sense and allowed Tam to give back to her alma mater.

In a press release for Hotel Icon they state, "Against the sweeping views of an equally iconic feature of Hong Kong – Victoria Harbour – Ms Tam set out to create a one-off suite inspired by her New York flat and exuding a blend of chinoiserie and modernity, a signature of her style." But she didn't stop there, she added such personal flair that also inside the suite guests will find books from her personal library and the same art that adorns her home in NYC. "The 80 square meter pad located on the 27th floor of the hotel references modern design, Chinese accents and the principles of feng shui to render the room an effortless elegance and chic simplicity. It is both a peek into Vivienne Tam’s private world and an expression of her ideal proverbial home-away-from-home."
