Street Style At Bacardi NH7 Weekender's First Ever Delhi Edition

Fashion_NH7Festival_NewDelhi

If you're a music hound on the sub-continent, chances are you've visited everyone's favorite annual haunt Bacardi NH7 Weekender. The festival's now entered its third year of existence, and has been held in Pune till now, but 2012 has seen a dramatic change in scenery. While the festival will unfurl in Pune in November as usual, OML (the Weekender's founders) have also expanded the Weekender's reach to New Delhi and Bangalore, the latter of which will be held early December. The Delhi edition took place this weekend, and while the music and the complicit fun was awaited with bated breath, so was that other aspect we look forward to every year — the sartorial street-side view.

The fashion last year in Pune didn't disappoint, and was largely hipster-ethnic. Delhi, this year, was more hipster-chic in general, which was expected from the trend-driven capital. Tapered, bright jeans, faux fur gilets, trilby's and fedora's tilted at jaunty angles, colorful avaiator sunglasses and a fair amount of metal gear since Megadeth were one of the headliners at the two-day festival. Accessories were key with lots of bangles and big earrings spotted along with the crazy products available on the grounds, which included electric blue 'fro's, mohawk wigs and light-up Kanye glasses (those were a huge hit in Pune last year.)

Relaxed, yet very fashionable, Delhi certainly held its own in the style stakes, when compared to its Western prototype, Pune. As always, Société Perrier's lens captured a selection of folks who we thought, represented the essence of the festival's first effort in the capital.
