Upcoming Event: Art Parcours @ Art Basel (BSL)
Already marked by historical elements that include a medieval printing shop, a hidden water-pumping station, and a gothic church, Basel's St. Johann neighborhood will soon get an artistic enhancement with the arrival of Art Parcours. A segment of the international Art Basel show, the four-day event will feature works and performances curated by Jens Hoffmann, Director of San Francisco's CCA Wattis Institute.
Scheduled for night one is a series of vaudeville performance by clowns, acrobats, musicians and jugglers, conceived by L.A.-based artist Kathryn Andrews. In the days that follow, visitors can view works by Pawel Althamer, Rodney Graham, Pedro Reyes and others via guided tours, or wander about the the banks of the river Rhine at their leisure.
