Upcoming Event: MEME Festival @ The Cube (YWG)
Bothered by the bad rap electronic music was getting in Winnipeg, mix master Nathan Zahn launched the MEME Festival in 2010. Two years later the event is on its third installment, with John Tejada and Deadbeat headlining the 2012 fest. Additional acts partaking in the electro celebration include Hessle Audio head Pearson Sound, Chi-Town's Billy Dalessandro and Canadian-bred Arthur Oskan. Joining what's shaping up to be a stellar season of music festivals, the three-day event is set to include a series of workshops for those looking to break into the music business. However, if you just want to show up for the live music, dancing and late-night parties, that's cool, too.
