Art for Fun, An Exhibition In Aid Of The Kahkaha Project
Opening on the 9th of June 2012, Art for Fun is an exhibition of 20 UAE-based artists works. The aim? To raise awareness of Beirut’s younger population surviving in refugee camps. Hosted by thejamjar, curated by The Domino and initiated by Dubai resident Scott Thoresen, this exhibition is a community effort to encourage local artists to create for good with artists displayed for sale throughout the exhibition.
Kahkaha, an ongoing project in Lebanon aims to build relaxed spaces for children living in impoverished and isolated areas. Creating fun, interactive and education areas away from the effects of war.
The opening event will provide an opportunity to view the art while learning more about Kahkaha project. The exhibit will then be open for public viewing during the week at scheduled timings, concluding with an open evening on 14th June with an after party at Perrier favourite ‘Deep Crates’ at Casa Latina featuring live music, art and more ways to support this worthy cause.
