Upcoming Event: Du World Music Festival
Dubai-based whingers who constantly complain about the lack of live music are being firmly put in their place this March. The likes of Snow Patrol, Calvin Harris and DJ Yoda taking over the beach at Sandance and Duran Duran will be thrilling fans at The Sevens Stadium, and yet more talent will be touching down for our aural pleasures for the World Music Festival. Taking place at Burj Park and on the Burj Steps over ten days from March 7th, the line-up includes big-seller Arab singer (and heartthrob) Amr Diab, European collective The Gipsy Kings, nineties hit-maker Gabrielle and Grammy Award-winner George Benson. There will also be a night of Emirati music featuring Mansour Zayed, with many of the concerts free, and others starting from Dhs110 for tickets. So stop your moaning, will you?
