Beefeater Celebrates Its London-ness With New Bottle
There’s been a lot made of companies that have nothing whatsoever to do with the UK bringing out special edition Jubilee or Olympics packaging this summer in order to cash in on the festivities, but unlike say a Champagne bottle wrapped in the union flag (how wrong is that?) this new bottle from Beefeater Gin gets the thumbs up from us.
Not only is Beefeater very much a British product (it’s the only big name gin still produced in London), it’s also a London dry gin so ought to celebrate its London-ness, and not just during the Olympics!
The new collector’s edition bottle comes in pillar box red with a transparent silhouette of Beefeater’s famous yeoman character. Within the silhouette is a mash-up of London images including pearly kings and queens, teacups and Vivienne Westwood-style punk fashions.
Speaking about the new bottle, Beefeater’s marketing manager Adam Boita commented: “Combining London’s mix of classic regal chic and rebellious eccentricity, the Beefeater Inside London bottle is the ideal keepsake for patriotic Britons who share Beefeater’s passion for London.
"Whether visiting London or staying at home this summer, the limited edition bottle is the perfect way to celebrate the famous British capital.”
Whatever you make of the packaging, the product inside remains as good as ever so everyone’s a winner.
The limited edition Beefeater Inside London bottle is available from retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Asda, Booths and Ocado. RRP, £16.89
