Cocktails Flow at Bombay Sapphire Imagination Bash

Bombay Imagination

Last week Bombay Sapphire teamed up with the Rebel Dining Society to take over Shoreditch Studios, creating a night based around a journey to the Alchemist’s Paradise where the cocktails flowed.

On arrival guests were handed a pouch containing a test tube of blue liquid (from a guy with the biggest moustache ever) and a passport with just five pages. Inside was a bar serving a host of weird and wonderful cocktails but it was through the double doors that the real adventure began.

First things first we jumped into a hot air balloon and were asked to empty our potion into a small pot, this created edible bubbles which tasted of lemon and sugar. After the balloon ride it was over to the peep box where we fed gold leaves through a slot and watched a girl dance Black Swan-style inside through the small eye holes - it all felt very naughty especially when she passed a small flower bud through the hole at the end and whispered ‘put it in your mouth, put it in your mouth’. Didn't your parents ever tell you not to take sweeties from a stranger!

The peep show was followed by a ride in an ‘aeroplane’ full of edible foam, a small cinema experience and the photo booth which completed our journey giving us the five stamps we needed to head upstairs to the Alchemist's lab.

There we were greeted with the piece de resistance, a cocktail made with beetroot and containing a pretty, large, round ice-cube. It was fantastic.

If you fancy getting involved in the next Bombay Sapphire Imagination event make sure you follow them on Facebook. With experiences this wacky, and cocktails this good, we recommend that you do.
