Festival News: Rockness, Camp Bestival and Wireless Updates
A cold snap may be on its way but now’s the time to start considering your festival options for summer 2012.
A raft of festivals have announced details of their dates and line-ups in the hope of capturing the tens of thousands of festival-goers seeking an alternative to Glastonbury this year.
Rockness has enticed Mumford & Sons, Biffy Clyro, Deadmau5, Ed Sheeran and Justice to the Scottish Highlands for the annual festival on 8-10 of June, with the promise of more acts being revealed very soon.
Further south family friendly fun will take on a disco bent at this year’s Camp Bestival as Kool & The Gang, Earth Wind & Fire and Chic feat. Nile Rodgers are all on the bill. Hot Chip and Rizzle Kicks will also appear, alongside numerous children’s entertainers and Rolf Harris.
Further south still Spain’s’ Benicassim has announced that New Order, The Horrors, Crystal Castles and Example are joining The Stone Roses on the bill for the July 12-15 sun-soaked event.
Staying in London, Wireless will see performances from J Cole, Rizzle Kicks and Flux Pavilion as they all support Rihanna in Hyde Park on July 8.
