Société Perrier at The Serpentine Summer Party
Goodness knows how drab the rest of London must have looked last night: all of the beautiful people were at the Serpentine Summer Party sipping bubbles (clever concoctions charged with Perrier for cocktail lovers; Laurent Perrier for those opting for champagne).
Mischa Barton, Laura Bailey, Jade Parfitt, Holly Vallance, Amber Le Bon were just a few of the drop-dead gorgeous ladies at this prestigious annual event, while Benedict Cumberbatch, David Bailey, Mika and Julien McDonald styled it out for the chaps.
As you might imagine it was posh frocks a-go-go, particularly as this year’s host was fashion label Leon Max.
In one corner of the spectacular open air setting we had those who opted for long, floaty dresses (maybe not ideal for walking across slightly damp grass but they certainly looked glam), while in the other were the shimmer brigade adding even more sparkle to the glitzy evening.
Besides playing spot the celebrity, the focal point of the night was the pavilion, a dramatic circular steel spaceship-like structure created by architects Herzog & de Meuron and artist Ai Weiwei and a set by rap star Azealia Banks who donned butterfly wings as she took to the stage.
All in all, not a bad Tuesday evening in London town.
