Anise
Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Anise is a popular Société Perrier hotspot. Located on Devonshire Square, just five minutes from the hectic Liverpool Street Station, Anise is a tranquil and stylish cocktail bar. Fitting in with the trend of restaurants pushing their bars as destinations in their own right, Anise is annexed from Cinnamon Kitchen. A lot of care has gone into the cocktail menu, with drinks created using unusual and inspired ingredients, such as spiced pear and agave honey. There is also an excellent array of whiskies and bourbons on offer. The clientele is mixed, with pre-dinner diners and post-work drinkers rubbing shoulders at the bar. Look out for the Acapulco cocktail, a new addition to the list made with Pimms, red wine, Licor 43 and Perrier.
