Drunken Monkey
This east London dim sum den is in danger of becoming as famous for its cocktails as it is for its delicious Cantonese cuisine. Located on the corner of Great Eastern St and Shoreditch High St it marks the invisible boundary between city suits and trendy Hoxtonites, and both mix harmoniously under its red-tinged oriental lanterns. The keenly priced cocktail list boasts all the well-known greats as well as a series of simian-themed long drinks, including the Monkey Mango Julep and dangerous Grape Ape. The music here is fantastic too, funk and rock with cuts of hip hop, disco and reggae.
