Beck and Autumn de Wilde Book Signing @ BookMarc
Singer/songwriter/musician/indie god Beck (Hanson) and alt-rocker photographer Autumn de Wilde have been besties for nearly two decades. So what better way to celebrate the friendship than with a coffee table book full of 170 pics — a mix of color and black and white — both chronicling the recording of his famed album Mutations and also a bunch of arty-inspired session snaps. (Of course the creative duo would look to Surrealism, Dada and Op Art for backdrops.) Equally as dreamy French filmmaker Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) wrote a foreword and the book also includes additional creative and quirky contributions from others.
The book was released in early November, but Beck and de Wilde will be making a special book signing appearance at the Marc Jacobs bookstore BookMarc on Thursday, December 8 at 7pm. And if you haven't purchased the book yet, there's a pay-off for your tardiness. Guests will receive a complimentary limited edition poster with a book purchase that evening.
