Better Know A Blogger: A Go Go
"I have always kind of done my own thing, and as long as I feel comfortable in what I'm wearing then I am happy."
Los Angeles blogger and Ford model Jennifer Humphrey is the creator of A Go Go, a provocative, slightly rocker blog about fashion, style, shoes, modeling and whatever else is inspiring her at the moment. Fun, edgy and filled with old soul delight, A Go Go is a go-to blog for inspiration, be it fashion or otherwise. Recently, we sat down with Humphrey to discuss personal style, classic Chanel, and of all things, lavender hair.
How would you describe your style?
Jennifer Humphrey: I would say my style is a bit undone and not so polished. I love wearing girly pieces but making them a bit rocker and edgier.
Who is your style icon?
This is a hard one because it's not just one individual but a couple... For instance, I love Françoise Hardy's fashion in the '60s, Edie Sedgewick, the rock and roll style of The Runaways, and for more current peeps, the effortless style of Erin Wasson and Kate Moss.
Why did you start blogging?
I started my blog two years ago because I wanted to share and show my style with as many people as possible. I have always been into clothes, even as a child I would put outfits together.
What's your favorite part of blogging?
Getting the piece of clothing I am wearing and having it come to life and giving it personality in the photographs. Anything goes...I have all the freedom in the world to style as I like and wear as I please.
What's your favorite trend right now?
The super high slits we are seeing in maxi skirts and dresses...they can be so sexy without trying if you do it right!
The last item of clothing I bought was...
A maxi skirt with two slits up the front!
I could die happy if I had....
The classic quilted black Chanel purse. It's just so timeless it can literally go with anything! From casual to fancy...
I wish I was more....
Brave. I want to be brave enough to try fun hair colors, as it is quite the trend now. I would love to have lavender hair for a bit. There is something so capitvating about colored hair... I love it!
I wish I was less...
Lazy in the morning when it comes to getting dressed...I am not a good early morning dresser.
Do you have any insecurities about fashion?
No, I have always kind of done my own thing, and as long as I feel comfortable in what I'm wearing then I am happy.
When I'm not blogging I'm...
Modeling, shopping and eating!
