Bleulab Reversible Denim Offers Two Pairs in One
Only two years ago, Carl Jones introduced the denim market to the next big thing with Bleulab: reversible denim. Jones launched Bleulab during the height of the recession in order to bring a new, fresh generation of denim into the world. Everyone has jeans in their closets but Bleulab offers qualities that other denim lines are missing, their design is new and innovative because they offer two pairs in one.
Bleulab does not just bring monetary and space savings with reversible styles, the brand is also ahead with current trends in the denim market. The brand’s latest collection, Matrix, offers all of the colors and prints that customers look for, as well as a variety of lightweight coatings and appliqués. Bleulab fans recognize the brand for the skinny legging style denim that is right on point with all of the runway trends right now, but the brand offers other popular cuts as well (such as flared bottoms and shorts).
Because it is important to maintain the integrity of both sides of a pair of Bleulab denim, Jones suggests freeze cleaning for care. The "freeze clean" method is exactly as it sounds; it consists of spot cleaning stains, followed by placing the jeans (strategically) in a zip-lock bag, and letting them marinate in the freezer for at least 24 hours. The process, which denim professionals call an “at-home dry clean” helps preserve the denim’s waxy, leather look that generally goes away with constant wear and tear.
The Bleulab love does not come from only recessionistas who shop on a budget, celebrities also can’t get enough of the reversible jeans. The denim has been seen everywhere from the legs of E! News hosts to those of Hollywood Goddess Charlize Theron, who wears the French Chalk basic and the coated style — one of the brand’s most popular.
Bleulab recently launched a billboard campaign with the tagline “Make Jobs Not War,” a tagline that was inspired by the fact that the brand is made in L.A., 100 percent. Jones is proud to say that the company began with only three people and has since grown to over 20 and continues to grow from there. He is dedicated to creating jobs at home and the message of the current campaign reflects that. You can find the billboards all over L.A. from Santa Monica Blvd to the Sunset Strip.
The brand will also be bringing love to the man of the house soon. Yes, Bleulab will introduce a men’s line this Fall and Jones expects it to be even more successful than the women’s collections. “Men will appreciate the ease of the reversibility and two styles in one pair. They are low maintenance, make for easy packing, and the fit is super cool,” all qualities a Bleulab customer has grown to look for and expect from their denim. After all, who doesn’t like to be spoiled every once in a while?
