Cobra Society's Boots Enchant Style Mavens

CobraSociety

Cobra Society puts a new spin on boots by blending traditional Moroccan charm and durable design to create one-of-a-kind boots revered by Jessica Alba, Ali Larter and Alexis Bledel.

After designer Alex Davis creates her designs in L.A., the boots are produced in Spain using the Goodyear Welt method, a superior technique most commonly found in the construction of traditional English men's shoes. Each boot features a kilim rug shaft which are created in a village of over 30 women in Morocco's Middle Atlas Mountains. Adding another level of uniqueness, each rug design has its own meaning and takes a full month to complete.

"I feminized the cowboy boot; re-shaped the heel and toe and added hand-woven Moroccan kilim fabric to each shaft," Davis said in an interview with Vogue UK. "These boots are special because every component is done on the same level – the kilims are hand-dyed and hand-woven in Morocco…the leather is Italian and vegetable tanned. To me, this is what true luxury is."

Luxurious, they surely are. No pair is exactly the same thanks to the one-of-a-kind nature of each kilim rug, and Cobra Society's modest line has a captivating effect, turning even the most committed anti-cowboy boot critic into a pro-Cobra Society aficionado. Enchantment guaranteed.
