Dillon Francis Unleashes "Something, Something, Awesome'
Dillon Francis has been busting out all over lately. You may already know about how he threw down at The Belasco last weekend, representing proudly alongside such marquee names as Skrillex and Diplo, and this week the rising star has released his EP, Something, Something, Awesome on Skrillex's own label, OWSLA. The young L.A. artist earned the attention of Diplo in 2011, and the latter put DF on his second Blow Your Head collection, alerting the world at large to the fact that there was a new voice in dance music on the horizon, and now another major player, Skrillex, has picked up the Dillon Francis baton by introducing three new tracks via his imprint.
The cuts you hear on Something, Something, Awesome blend everything from dubstep to Moombahton, but don't worry, you don't need to be intimately familiar with the definition of Moombahton in order to enjoy Francis's explosive, party-starting, bass-busting sounds. All you really have to do is open up your ears to the way he works.
