Mayer Hawthorne Announces Spring Tour
Mayer Hawthorne has been the go-to guy for modern soul since his 2009 debut, A Strange Arrangement. The prolific artist has released two more albums since then, including the double LP, Mayer Hawthorne & The County Direct To Disc and his most recent record, How Do You Do, which liberally introduced sunny '70s pop into the mix a la The Beach Boys and Harry Nilsson. His live shows are well known for their vibrance and electricity, having won over several Chromeo fans last fall when he toured with the synth funk duo. The tour kicks off in NYC on April 16 and then heads west, so keep an eye out for Hawthorne's soulful blitz.
