Missoni Family Receives the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award
It was a veritable Missoni family reunion at the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style awards in Los Angeles this past Sunday night. The glam Beverly Hills setting was very apropos for multiple generations of Missonis — house founders Ottavio and Rosita Missoni, daughter and current designer Angela, sons and business brains behind the line, Vittorio and Luca, and the third generation made up of grandchildren model and muse Margherita, protogé Ottavio Jr., and actress Jennifer — to accept the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award.
With an audience filled with notable celebrities, including, Sofia Vergara, Gabrielle Union, Rachel Zoe, and fellow honoree Iman, the Missoni dynasty came onstage (outfitted in fabulous Missoni, obviously) to accept the honor presented by music great Quincy Jones. While accepting the award, Angela proudly thanked the crowd with the words: "This talented community embraces our clothing not only on the red carpet but in their personal life too." And a scan of the crowd definitely revealed some also-Missoni-clad members. The Missoni family joins an impressive roster of past award winners: Tom Ford, Valentino, Versace, and Giorgio Armani.
