Skingraft Showcases Vision Of Modern Day Biker Gang [Gallery]
Skingraft, one of L.A.’s most avant garde fashion houses previewed their Spring 2013 collection at an exclusive invite-only presentation during L.A. Fashion Week at the famous Sky Bar on the Sunset Strip. The collection was inspired by a new generation of motorcycle gangs, where classic biker jacket silhouettes were re-imagined with the comfort, aesthetic and flexibility of sporty active wear. Designer Jonny Cota showed 19 looks on nine models posed on boxes along the pool while onlookers from press to the Hollywood elite snapped photos. The first set of nine were dressed in all black, while the second set were dressed mostly in white with black highlights and two all red looks. The last model that stood nearby, wore a sheer top and American football pads, and seemed possessed under red lights. Guests were treated to Hennessy Cognac and sipped and mingled after the show.
