Steve Aoki Rocks 'Wonderland' Album Release Party
Steve Aoki can truly throw a party. The acclaimed DJ/producer/Dim Mak Records founder proved that last night at Supperclub in Hollywood for the release of his new album Wonderland. The packed 10,000 square foot club had enough room for dancing and the world-class sound system tickled every spine.
Anticipation for Aoki's set was high as the night proceeded. Surprises included everything from aerial dancers dropping in from the ceiling on fabric lines, delivering bottles, and making it literally rain money on the crowd to Afrojack taking time to stop by to show support to Michael Trevino (Vampire Diaries) dancing the night away to Paris Hilton and Pete Wentz backstage.
However, most important was the new music and Aoki laid out lots of new tunes for the electro-house hungry crowd. The new album is loaded with a long list of collaborations and guest appearances (Rivers Cuomo, Zuper Blahq/Will.I.am, Lil' Jon, Travis Barker, Kid Cudi, LMFAO, Nervo, Chiddy Bang, Robert Raimon Roy, and Lovefoxxx from CSS) showing that Aoki is where he is today because of his hard work and ability to create tracks that move crowds worldwide.
