The Hudson LA Launches New Winter Cocktails
Christmas is so last year by now. Time to leave the eggnog behind and sip on a different kind of seasonal sauce. Introducing: The Hudson LA’s Winter cocktail menu.
Formerly a train station, Hudson LA is a buzzing West Hollywood neighborhood bar with eco-friendly décor: two huge trees growing up through the roof.
John Rankin, cocktail wizard of both Hudson and its sister bar, Churchill LA, incorporates his culinary background in his liquid creations. He feels mixing in the bar is like cooking in the kitchen. Rankin blends sweet, savory, salty and spicy flavor notes with top-shelf liquors to create magic in a glass.
Here are just a few of his latest Hudson LA Winter mixers ($11) to keep you toasty in LA's freezing 50 degree weather:
Spellbound
Jasmine green tea infused grey goose, ginjo sake, fresh mint and orange juice. Shaken and served up with a burnt orange zest.
Bedford
Muddled house brandied cherries, combier cherry liqueur, lemon, hibiscus, and charged with soda.
M80
Tanteo jalapeno tequila, St. Germain elderflower, grapefruit, and a dash of agave syrup with a salt and pepper rim.
Satellite
Hudson’s own bosc pear infused rye whiskey, cocchi di torino vermouth, original laird’s apple brandy, and burdock and dandelion bitters.
