Upcoming Event: L.A. Mobile Arts Festival @ Santa Monica Art Studios
The way art can be created and experienced has transformed in the age of the iPhone, introducing what many are calling the mobile art movement. In celebration of the emerging form, digital collective iPhoneArt is joining Santa Monica Art Studios to present the first L.A. Mobile Arts Festival. A former airplane hangar, the sprawling venue will house works from an international group of digital artists for a week. As expected, there will be droves of Instagram and Hipstamatic shots to take in, but iPhone-tinged sculptures, films and installations are also part of the exhibit. Festival goers will be able to purchase select prints from an on-site iPrint store, and perhaps take home some mobile art inspiration, too.
