Upcoming Event: Play MOCA @ the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA
The Museum of Contemporary Art is joining forces with Smashbox Cosmetics and IAMSOUND this summer to present three exhilarating nights of great art and music. For each show, visitors will get a chance to see entrancing visual art while watching performances from indie favorites and DJs.
Among some of the musical performers will be Salem, Cults, Zola Jesus (pictured), Active Child and more. These performances will then be accompanied visually by artworks from Emmett Malloy, Benjamin Millepied and Rodarte and actress Drew Barrymore who is an avid supporter of MOCA's concept — "I like to walk through museums with headphones," says Barrymore. "Trying to combine art and music is my goal...I am thrilled to be a part of this event." DJ sets will also be in store from Health and Victoria Bergsman for an all-out excellent night for art-loving eyes and ears everywhere.
