Weegee in Los Angeles @ MOCA
Weegee started his career as a crime scene photographer in New York but moved to L.A. and turned his lens on Hollywood, capturing fantasies of glitz, glamour and celebrity in images. Although he changed who he was photographing, Weegee brought a unique dark and sometimes unsettling aesthetic to his pictures, which influenced generations of photographers to come. The exhibition runs through February 27.
