5 Miami Must-See, Must-Shop Boutiques During Miami Art Week

Miami is a city infamous for sun, surf and sand. But with an ever-growing list of top-notch boutiques popping up around the sunny city, Miami is establishing its reputation as a hot spot for the fashion hungry.

Well-heeled tourists and local shoppers are setting aside their shades, taking quick break from pool side and flooding into some of Miami’s best known boutiques to sought their favorite summer fashions, hottest accessories, breezy fabrics and an eclectic selection of home wares. Sociéte Perrier shares Miami's top must-see, must-shop boutiques during Miami Art Week.

1. The Orchid Boutique

The market for pool and beach side attire is bustling in the sunny city of Miami. Previously an online store, owner Mayra Jimenez saw an opportunity to launch a dedicated boutique on 224 8th St. in Miami Beach. The Orchid Boutique offers a decadent swimsuit purchasing experience,including in-house stylists, accessories, jewelry and beach bags to complement the vast array swimsuits.

2. Curve Boutique

Located in one of the hottest Miami hotels The Gansevoort, Curve has become one of Miami Beach’s best known boutiques. Curve was founded by former stylist, Nevena Borissova, who travels the world in order to find one-of-a-kind pieces from such designers as Thierry Mugler, Proenza Schouler, Burberry, Genetic Denim, Aviu, Antonio Berardi, John Galiano and Alexander McQueen to stock in her infamous boutique. As well as a huge celebrity following, including Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez and Rhianna Curve is a must not miss boutique for any avid Miami shopper.

3. En Avance

In 2008 the En Avance boutique was launched in culture hub Miami Design District as the first upscale boutique in the precinct, before the arrival of luxury brands Christian Louboutin, Céline,  Louis Vuitton, Hermès and Cartier. En Avance founder Karen Quinones scours the globe seeking the most innovative, fashion-forward designs for women, men and children including shoes, accessories, home accents and skincare; offering  shoppers a carefully curated selection of items.

4. Alchemist

Upon stepping into Alchemist, clientele may at first be distracted by the boutique’s modern design and open architecture which primarily sets the scene for a high end shopping experience. The vast and airy space allows for clientele to scour the racks of cutting-edge clothing, accessories, shoes and jewelry collections that are carefully curated by husband-and-wife owners Roma and Erika Cohen. Alchemist offers its divers local in international clientele a selection of hand picked pieces from Dior, Givenchy and Celine, alongside younger and more avant-garde labels such as Proenza Schouler, Rodarte and Rick Owens.

5. Bleau Signature

Throughout Miami, hot new boutiques continue to pop up within some of Miami’s best luxury hotels. A recent addition to Fontainebleau’s retail offering is Bleau Signature. Quickly making a mark on the local fashion map, the boutique features labels like Emilio Pucci, Etro and Melissa Odabash and is being compared to the infamous Parisian boutique, Colette.
