Emmett Moore Stays Home With 'Surface Tension'
Born and raised in Miami, designer Emmett Moore will see his upcoming solo exhibit take shape in his hometown. Titled Surface Tension, the Gallery Diet presentation is a series of limited edition furniture pieces, each marked by geometric shapes and patterns that convey the differences between what's real and what's an illusion. Complementing the show is a collaboration between Moore, Chris Johnson and Conor Klein in the space's Projects Room. With a focus on Miami, London and New York, the three explore the impact of appearance and tradition on design, while continuing the discussion of illusion. Surface Tension follows Moore's successful High, Low and Inbetween installation, presented at Locust Projects earlier this year.
Surface Tension is on display from September 7 to October 13, 2012.
