Event Recap: Miami Rail Launch Party [Gallery]
Party people gathered Friday evening at Lester's in Wynwood to celebrate the launch and release of the Miami Rail, an editorially independent expansion of one of New York's most respected cultural institutions, The Brooklyn Rail.
Funded by the Knight Foundation the Miami Rail covering arts and culture throughout Miami and is distributed for free around Miami — including at Lester's, The Standard hotel and museums. Friday's event featured DJs Matthew Abess, Nathaniel Sandler and P Scott Cunningham. Guests including Thom Collins, Cathy Leff, Bonnie Clearwater, Diana Nawi, Tobias Ostrander, Christy Gast, Bhakti Baxter and Nicolas Lobo. Even better was that everyone took home copies of the first issue and danced the night away.
