Graffiti Artist Romero Britto's Work Defaced Again
Someone out there just doesn't like Romero Britto. The Miami graffiti artist's work has been the target over the past year by a few haters, or possibly just the same one, who has been vehemently tagging his pieces.
The latest offense was last Saturday when, according to The Miami Herald, someone vandalized Britto's Wynwood space with the tag "C-Dog." This is the third incident over the past year where Romero's work has been targeted. Last June, Britto's "Beach Ball" sculpture was tagged with the word's "Not Art" scrawled across it. One month later, the same sculpture was tagged again with the words "Meaningless Bliss" and "error." Could C-Dog possibly be the same vandal who simply has it out for Romero's street art? Perhaps his next piece could benefit from some security surveillance.
