Karl Lagerfeld Gives Rolls Royce 'A Different View'
Last week, Karl Lagerfeld dropped by Rolls Royce Motor Cars in Goodwood, West Sussex to present A Different View as a part of the RR's Icons of Art series where contemporary artists present tributes to the premium car company.
In addition to Lagerfeld's extensive history in fashion, his photography work is a marvel in of itself, capturing a richness and sophistication that is unmistakably his. In A Different View, Lagerfeld explores the details of the Rolls Royce's elegance and slickness. "Each of my shots of the Rolls-Royce is the abstract representation of a concrete reality," says Lagerfeld. "The technical medium of photography is a welcome means for my artistic work, creating my different view.”
The last entry in the Rolls Royce Icons of Art series will take place during Miami Art Week.
