South Beach Inspires Kirkwood's Spring 13' Collection
A perennially sunny lifestyle destination, it is no wonder that Miami’s South Beach serves as the muse that inspires countless artists, designers, chefs and architects. Renowned British shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood is no exception.
Famed for the architectural quality of his designs and his innovative use of materials including devoré satin, hand-printed suede and leather, python, shaved stingray, laser-cut mirror leather and cobra, his recently launched Spring/Summer 2013 collection is a reflection of South Beach’s sugary waved beaches, vibrant art deco architecture and the bronzed limned ladies that line the sunny sidewalks.
With a palette of candy-colored pastels, acid brights and bold monochromes forming wave motifs in swirling designs on a blue suede canvas, Kirkwood presents an eclectic 101 piece collection, ranging from wedges, high pumps and mid-block heals.
Up for grabs in top-tier department stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman, as well as on Net-a-porter.com, Kirkwood clientele can expect to add a little piece of South Beach Summer to their Spring shoe collection.
