Upcoming Event: Warhol is Over? @ Robert Fontaine Gallery
Andy Warhol's influence is undeniable. For decades, artists have moved further into post-modernism splintering off Warhol's unusual assembly line style. Having passed away 25 years ago, it's intriguing to stop and examine if his influence is still immediately present in today's modern artists.
Much like MOCA's The Painting Factory: Abstraction After Warhol, Robert Fontaine Gallery's new exhibit Warhol is Over? has its sights on seeing where we are now in a post-Warhol world. Eleven artists including Paul Warhola, Damian Hirst, Tina la Porta and more will show through their work if Warhol's ghost still looms and if so, does he effects their work in negatively or positively.
