Alors que l’hiver semble interminable et que la nostalgie de l’été occupe les esprits, la Semaine de Mode de Montréal permet de s’évader tout en explorant les nouvelles collections de nos designers locaux . Du 6 au 9 février, l’événement biannuel occupera le Marché Bonsecours. Voici cinq défilés qui promettent d’en mettre plein la vue pour cette 22ième édition de glamour, de créativité et d’inspiration.

From February 6 to 9, the 22nd edition of this semi-annual event will be held at Marché Bonsecours. Here are five can’t-miss shows that will feature plenty of glamour, creativity and inspiration. Fier montréalais et passionné de denim, le fondateur de Second Clothing Eric Wazana, fait rimer le confort et l’éthique. Renommé internationalement pour ses Yoga Jeans, Wazana présentera le fruit de son expertise et de sa créativité aux fashionistas qui ne jurent que par leur paire de jeans.

This season, we expect to see a juxtaposition of eclectic references that evoke femininity and graphic art. Elle a séduit dès ses débuts en 2002. Navigant entre l’hiver de son Saguenay natal, les rues de Montréal et ses voyages outre-mer, Eve Gravel crée des vêtements qui balancent songe et réalité. La collection automne-hiver 2012-2013 promet des sensations et des coups de cœur pour l’audacieuse qui sommeille en nous!

La dernière journée de la semaine de la mode sera consacrée à plusieurs designers de la relève. Exhibit 22, un concept tout neuf, exposera les talents qui nous ont donné Betina Lou, White Label, LLUI, Aime byW, Maude Nibelungen et Birds of North America. Un vent de fraicheur assuré sur les passerelles du Marché Bonsecours!

The last day of Fashion Week will spotlight several designers in the lineup. Exhibit 22, an all new concept, will exhibit the creations of Betina Lou, White Label, LLUI, Aime byW, Maude Nibelungen and Birds of North America. This event will bring new life to the halls of Marché Bonsecours!

En un seul défilé, le collectif présentera les coupes dramatiques d’Anastasia Lomonova, le design poétique d’UNTTLD et les créations au crochet LYN par Jocelyn Picard. Vous avez bien lu. Crochet!
